This Cute Puppy Needs Your HELP!

sorry, this is important, so I'm not using a lj-cut, please forgive me!

This is Pete. He is a 5 month old Pit Bull puppy with a problem.

Pete has a genetic heart defect called pulmonic stenosis. Without open-heart-surgery, Pete will only live to be about 1 1/2 years old.

The surgery is gonna be around $3000. So, I just thought I'd post this and maybe start a collection for him if anyone was interested. A few dollars will add up and some word of mouth and a link to this entry will give more and more hope for him.

He is such a sweet boy, I spent all day with him. So, if you can please tell your friend's and maybe we can get him closer to his surgery.

I just wanted to say... I went to Wal-Mart on Saturday and (as I already knew) I need glasses. So, after an hour and more than $200 gone, I have glasses on the way, they should be here on the 22nd.

NEED SOME YAOI HELP XD

Ahem. Now that I have your attention. I need some help.

I'm working on something of a documentary for a film class on animated and comicked gay erotica (yes, yaoi) and it's appeal to the fans.

What I need from YOU and anyone else you know who would be willing to help, is a couple of things:

#1)Sound clips (or if you've got a webcam and wanna record video of yourself speaking that works too) of you saying a bit about yaoi. Tell me what appeals, what you like about it.

Remember that letter that sparked such controversy a few weeks ago? Some guy wrote a letter to a magazine claiming that Queer as Folk wasn't popular because women didn't LIKE guy on guy action. That women's sexuality doesn't WORK that way. Give me your response to that.

Let me here your voice. Record the statement: "My name is ____ and I like yaoi" (or "I like gay porn" or "I LOVE yaoi" or "I live, eat, breath yaoi" whatever holds true for you, whatever floats your boat). You don't have to give me your real name either.

I know this is a big favor, but if any of you who have the capability to record sound or image could spare me just a couple of minutes, I would be a happy happy camper.

#2) Any good still photos of y-con (and other cons') activities, such as the Bishie Auction, random copslayers, random congoers, scary fangirls, etc. I have some, but would love to get more.

For the brave, not afraid to stand up and say "I like yaoi", I would love any photos of yourselves, clutching plushies, doujinshi, boyfriend/girlfriends, whatever. ^_^

#3) Your well wishes and pats on the back. I'm gonna need it. ^^

This morning I was awaken by my mom telling me I have to be at work by noon. wtf. it's my day off, but apperently, my manager called and my mom told her I would come in today (without asking me first). I was so pissed. I worked until 9pm, and I got to stay in the stock room the whole time so it wasn't completly awful.

On my last break, me and Star went to "Harry and Davids" and I bought a mint chocolate cheesecake, yum... it's good too.

What. the. heck.

It seems like I haven't posted here in forever, even though it was only yesterday. Maybe because, I don't know, I'm not writting about my boring life. ::shrugs:: who knows.

Today I go into work at 5pm and work until closing (which can be anywhere from 9pm-11pm). I just hope we get out early bacause tomorrow I have to wake up waay early. The reason?

...I am going to Imperial (the Desert city, not the Beach one) to a Rabbit Sale. Hoping to make some money and clear up some cage space. I have to go by myself though (which sucks) 'cause my mom is going to Pomona for a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit Show.

Looks like I have ::counts:: 9 rabbits to sell of my own, + 7 of my moms, + 4 (I think) of my mom's friend Joe's rabbits. I demand commission fees for selling their rabbits, heh.

Meh, I wish I had some friends to go. >_<

Here is my version of the Yaoi-Con Report...

The drive up was veery long. We left San Diego at 11pm. Wahh, I don't know why but it seemed we had /so/ many complications. We arrived at Gina's house I guess at about 10 or 11am.

The first day of the con was very laid back just because there was absolutly nothing to do. Nothing was open and there were no panels. I think we just spent that day walking around and getting used to it.

Friday night we didn't get to sleep until around 4am (what else is new at cons though)?

Saturday morning I went to "The Room" meaning Kim and Jess' room ('cause that is where I spent all my time minus sleep). We watched Saturday Morning cartoons (FoxBox, gag).

The Masquerade was this day. I went with them and got the Gomus and the Links on tape (I'm still trying to figure out if I can somehow get it online).

We went back to "The Room" 'cause people wanted to drink (thanks to Gina who brought the booze, heh). I had a Smirnoff Twited Green Apple and some other drink that tasted like Melons (but I don't remember what it's called). Then people pretty much fell asleep, so I went back to my own room.

Also, that night though, I was taken to the Dance by JM! <3 Even though the dance sucked ass, I still was happy I got to spend /some/ time with her.

Sunday was spent at the Art Table with people, was much fun.

I also finally got to go into the Dealer's room. I was so suprised, I hardly bought anything. Let's see I ended up buying:

- A ONE PIECE pillow
- A Kakashi keychain for my mom (which I ended up losing... >_>;;)
- A Yaoi-Con Bumper Sticker ('cause I'm a whore).
- A Seme shirt. XP
- A pair of Wolf Ears
- A print from Gina
and
- 4 prints from Kim and Jess

We packed and went to dinner before leaving to go home. Dinner was nice but after it was sad~ness saying goodbye to everyone! The massive group hug in the Sizzler parking lot will not be forgotten. Hiiku!! Your hair is veery amusing!

Then last goodbyes to everyone at the other resturant and then on our way.

Meh, the best part of the ride home was the talk to my mom from everyone. Nuuu!! She can't cosplay Jiraya! JESS... SHE BEATS ME, I SWEAR!!

Gah, I feel like I'm forgetting /so/ much!
